Massage is of the oldest forms of medical treatment. It was first recorded in China in the second century B.C! It works by soothing soft tissue and encouraging relaxation through a sequence of movements working superficially and deeper into the tissue layers. The client is covered in soft towels, which are turned back to reveal only the area to be massaged at that time. Areas massaged in a full body treatment are legs, arms, and front of shoulders, abdomen (optional) back of legs, back and neck.
